Biography

Roger is a fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy, and is a frequent speaker on commercial law. Roger's practice consists primarily of advising business enterprises and tax-exempt organizations involved in joint ventures, restructurings, bankruptcies, sale transactions and litigation. Roger has extensive experience in representing secured creditors, debtors, trustees, creditors' committees, and landlords in Chapter 11 cases. He has represented enterprises in the life sciences, technology, venture capital, health care, transportation (rail and road), timber, manufacturing, retail, banking and insurance industries. Roger is an effective counsellor to healthy organizations and fiduciaries (such as trustees and directors) by drawing on his experience in distress situations. He received his A.B. from Bowdoin College in 1986 and his J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law in 1991, where he was a notes editor of the Maine Law Review.
