PORTLAND - Administrative Assistant

Verrill Dana, LLP is actively reviewing resumes for an Administrative Assistant in our Portland, Maine office. This position is designed to be a full-time position providing administrative support to the Managing Partner, Chief Operating Officer and others as needed. Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to: managing schedules, scheduling of various meetings, resolving scheduling conflicts, determining and shifting priorities, drafting and revising documents, coordinating travel arrangements, maintaining files (paper and electronic), tracking complex bills, answering the telephone, understanding the complexities of a preeminent law firm and responding promptly with the ability to successfully multi-task in a fast paced environment.

The successful candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, strong organization skills and excellent computer skills (including Microsoft Office Suite). Applicants should have strong project management skills and the ability to independently problem solve successfully. The ability to recognize and maintain the confidentiality of internal and external information and work materials within this role is key. Flexible, positive and hardworking attitude required. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of how the role of an Administrative Assistant within a full-service law firm environment can add value.
