Biography

After living in Europe, Asia and the west coast, Patti and her family moved back to Maine in 1998. While Patti was completing her Business Administration degree with Southern New Hampshire University, she worked part-time with Verrill Dana, LLP and prior to her graduation was offered a full time position in the Private Clients Group at the Firm.

As an Estate Administrator/Paralegal, Patti’s detailed work on administration of estates involves preparing probate court documents; determination of filing fees, gathering all appraisal information; valuation of securities through estate valuation or research regarding stock buyouts, exchanges and preparation of various tax returns for federal filing and the states of Maine, Massachusetts and New York. Patti meticulously prepares full accountings for a wide range of trusts, estates and conservatorships, deeds of distribution and Receipts, Release and Refunding Agreements, and other fiduciary documents while overseeing the follow-up on closing letters as well as directed audits with federal and state agencies.

Patti spends her time away from the firm sampling many of the local restaurants in Maine and New England, traveling with her family to Europe and the British West Indies and attempting to keep up with her young granddaughter. She enjoys snowshoeing during the winter, walks with her dogs and gardening.
