Missy joined the Fiduciary Services Group in 2013 as the Assistant Trust Officer. Missy’s duties include client and beneficiary relations, processing trust distributions, tracking and payment of the trusts’ estimated taxes and other expenses, maintaining and updating trust files, and providing administrative support to the Trust Officer. She works closely with the attorneys within the Fiduciary Services Group who serve as trustees. Missy also provides personal services to clients and beneficiaries including reviewing and preparing checks to pay household bills and personal and family expenses, reconciling checkbooks, reconciling credit card statements, and assisting in financial record keeping.

Although Missy is new to the Fiduciary Services Group, she is not new to Verrill Dana. She joined the Firm in 2000 and spent her first 13 years in Accounting. Missy worked in all aspects of accounting including, payroll, payables and receivables, billing, banking, and general ledger transactions. She earned an accounting associate’s degree from Central Louisiana Technical Community College in 1996.

Missy enjoys spending time with her three children. She lived in Louisiana and Alaska before returning to Maine shortly before joining Verrill Dana. Cruises are always on her mind, and she calls Bermuda her favorite “port of call”.
