Biography

Kate's clients value her experience and her thoughtful approach to their personal planning goals and objectives.

Kate advises individuals and families on a broad range of trusts and estates matters. She creates tax-efficient estate plans and develops sophisticated lifetime gifting structures to leverage gift tax exemptions and transfer wealth to the next generation. In addition, Kate counsels clients on estate administration and settlement, charitable giving, business succession planning, and she serves as a professional trustee of family trusts.

Prior to joining Verrill, Kate worked as a trusts and estates associate for a general practice firm in the Boston suburbs. While in law school, she worked for a boutique Boston trusts and estates firm and the University of Massachusetts Foundation. Prior to law school, Kate worked as a litigation paralegal for a large, international law firm in Washington, D.C.

Kate resides in Hingham with her husband and two sons. During the summer, she spends much of her free time with her family on Cape Cod.
