Kelly represents individual and corporate clients in a wide array of transactional, permitting and regulatory compliance matters, including project permitting under federal, state, and local laws. Kelly is currently working with developers of several large-scale energy infrastructure projects in Maine, including multiple wind power projects under active development and/or construction, as well as the proponent of a recent expansion of existing interstate natural gas pipeline facilities. In addition, Kelly represents individuals and companies in municipal land use proceedings involving site plan review and shoreland zoning.
As a member of Verrill Dana’s Timberlands Group, Kelly counsels timber clients on compliance with federal, state, and local environmental laws, including the Endangered Species Act and CERCLA and assists in obtaining any relevant state and federal environmental permits.
Kelly joined Verrill Dana in 2005 and was previously an associate with an environmental boutique firm with offices in Boston and New Bedford, Massachusetts.
