Biography

Hale’s practice encompasses a wide variety of transactional, regulatory compliance, and litigation matters for Verrill Dana’s health care clients. He has a special concentration in privacy law, including HIPAA and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Hale received his law degree cum laude from Boston College Law School, where he was an Articles Editor of the Environmental Affairs Law Review. During law school, Hale served as a judicial extern to the Honorable O. Rogeriee Thompson of the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, and as a judicial intern to the Honorable Paul J. Barbadoro of the United States District Court for the District of New Hampshire.

Prior to law school, Hale worked for a non-profit organization in Boulder, Colorado that serves to protect and conserve outdoor recreation areas throughout the country. Hale has also volunteered for a number of organizations that provide legal aid to immigrants, and he has worked on many statewide and national political campaigns.

Outside of the office, Hale is an avid rock climber, mountain biker, and skier.
