Biography

Brian excels at providing clear and simple solutions to complex problems. Brian joined Verrill Dana’s Energy & Utilities practice group in 2015 and represents clients before the Maine PUC, Massachusetts DPU, FERC and other local and state agencies in Maine and throughout New England.

In addition to his regulatory practice, Brian has significant appellate experience and has drafted briefs for clients before the Maine Supreme Court, Massachusetts Supreme Court, U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Before joining Verrill Dana, Brian served as a law clerk to the Justices of the Maine Superior Court in Portland. While clerking, he co-authored a chapter in “A Practical Guide to Evidence in Maine.”

Brian is an author of the second edition of Verrill Dana’s “Maine Regulation of Public Utilities” and a regular contributor to Verrill Dana’s energy blog: www.energylawupdate.com.
