Biography

Brian excels at providing clear and simple solutions to complex problems. Brian joined Verrill Dana’s Energy practice group in 2015 and represents clients in regulatory proceedings before the PUC.

Brian has a long-running interest in energy and regulatory issues. While in law school, Brian was a fellow for the U.S.-China Partnership for Environmental Law. As part of this program, Brian travelled to Beijing where he teamed up with a Chinese law student to research electric vehicle policy in China. Prior to law school, Brian studied energy and environmental policy at Franklin & Marshall College.

Before joining Verrill Dana, Brian served as a law clerk to the Justices of the Maine Superior Court in Portland. While clerking he worked on a wide range of cases—from boundary disputes and municipal appeals, to homicide trials—and developed a solid background in Maine law.

Outside of the office, Brian enjoys exploring the many state parks and other beautiful places in Maine.
