Keith C. (“KC”) Jones has been elected as the new Managing Partner of Verrill Dana, LLP, effective July 1, 2008.
KC is currently a partner in the firm’s Business Law Department. During his more than 23 years of legal practice, KC has distinguished himself as one of the premier corporate and securities lawyers in northern New England. KC is listed in The Best Lawyers in America (under the categories of Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions Law, and Securities Law) and in Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business (under Corporate/Mergers and Acquisitions), and was recently recognized by his peers as a New England Super Lawyer (for Business and Corporate Law).
KC also has a distinguished record of public and community service. He has served as a Director of United Way of Greater Portland since 1998 (including service as Chair of the Board from 2004 through 2006), and is Secretary to the Board of Trustees of MaineHealth. During his career, KC has served as Chair of the Business Law Section of the Maine State Bar Association and as Chair of the Bar Association’s International Practice Section. He is a graduate of Yale University (B.A., cum laude) and Georgetown University (J.D., magna cum laude).
